Learning Activities

Three sessions of 6 hours will be organised where CPT (Cultural Pedagogical Tools), the TP-Theatre methodology, will be used to obtain the adequate knowledge of the use of this method with ASD adult group and with all those involved in the intervention with ASD and freely available to employers who are sensitive to labour market inclusion of disadvantaged groups.

The sessions will take place in United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Bulgaria. During the sessions, the CPT method, its applications in educational groups and special difficult situations as well as the three tools "IFT" Interactive Form Theatre, "IDT" Interactive Design Theatre and "ISW" Interactive Script Writing will be introduced.

The Method Cultural Pedagogical Theatre (CPT)

The Interactive Theatre created by the team of TPT partner, is a method with the help of which social issues and problems are raised and discussed.

This method has three components:

  • Interactive Form  Theater in (IFT);
  • Interactive Design Theater (IDT) and
  • Interactive Script Writing (ISW)

or in short: IFT IDT and ISW

In this section you can find the links to the movie presenting the CPT Method. For your convenience the movie is supported with subtitles into English, Bulgarian, Italian and Spanish languages:

Learning Sessions of Cultural Pedagogical Theatre, Carried out in the Partner Countries

Training in Cultural Pedagogical Theatre was held in the four partner countries.

The local organisers and the TP-Theatre as trainers organised training about Cultural Pedagogical Tools (CPT) - the TP-Theatre methodology. Different categories of participants were involved in the intervention: students with ASD, resource teachers, employers and experts, working with ASD people.The selection of the professional participants was based on the established criteria (good command of English, previous acting experience, expertise on ASD). Of course, these criteria were not applied to the students them self.

Before the activity, the teams attended the online course on CPT methodology available on the TRAIL Platform in order to have a background on the methodology itself and on the activities scheduled during the training sessions. After the online course, they completed the expectation questionnaire. The three-days learning activities lasted from 9am to 4.00pm.

The first day was dedicated to a general presentation of the participants to the activity (both trainers and trainee), to the provision of a theoretical background, aim and objectives of the CPT methodology and its pillar, to a training on acting and pedagogical skills with a focus on the Interactive Form Theatre (IFT) method.

The second day continued the training on IFT method and was based on the introduction and practice of Interactive Script Writing (ISW) method. During the second day, the trainees also worked on the performance for the Open session scheduled in the third day, rehearsing the Prewritten script provided before the Learning activity.

The third day was based on the introduction of the last CPT method, the Interactive Design Theatre (IDT) as it was scheduled a live performance that was played by the trainees with the support of the trainers during the Open session for invited audience. At the end of the three-days Learning Activity, the partner-teams also conducted the Follow-up activity which consisted of an independent performance of one of the two CPT methods (IFT/IDT) applying techniques and skills acquired during the training activity.

All the performances in the four partner countries were recorded and you can have a look on them through the following links below.
